Bio and Background
Jim Faklis brings a fresh, dedicated presence to the team as the youngest attorney at Faklis, Tallis & Mead, concentrating his practice on high-impact personal injury cases—especially vehicle collisions, medical malpractice, premises liability (slip & falls), and other serious injury claims. Since joining the firm, he has distinguished himself through client-centered advocacy, strategic courtroom preparation, and measurable results. Jim has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star since 2019, is an invited lecturer at UIC Law’s Bridge to Practice program for young attorneys, and continues to mentor early-career personal injury lawyers throughout the Chicago legal community.

- Multi-million dollar wins: Jim has contributed to several seven-figure recoveries, a $1.8 million major settlement for a boating injury, $3.5 million dollar bicycle collision, and a $2.1 million wrongful-death recovery, supported during an $11 million settlement with DuPage County, and several multi-million dollar confidential settlements—demonstrating his ability to take large, complex cases through to success over his 10+ years as an attorney at the office.

Raised in the Chicagoland area, Jim is deeply connected to Illinois communities growing up in the Palos Park area graduating from Amos Alonzo Stagg High School completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois and obtaining his legal degree from DePaul University–College of Law. He is passionate about helping injured residents and aims to earn their trust through both legal results and personal integrity.
When he has time off, he enjoys spending time on the golf course, traveling, or taking walks with his wife and family dog.
